First you will need a crafting table. In order to craft a crafting table, you will need 4 planks (any type of wood is okay). Planks can be obtained from logs you get from trees.
Next, you will need to make paper from sugar canes. Three sugar canes make 3 papers. Three papers make one book. Therefore, you ‘ll need 9 sugar canes to make 3 books.
Sugar cane can be found nearly everywhere where there’s a water source. It stands about 1 to 4 blocks high and can be grown on grass or sand.
Next, you will need leather in order to craft a book. Leather can be obtained by killing cows. You will need at least 3 leather to make 3 books.
Lastly, you will need 6 planks (any type of wood is okay) and the 3 books you just crafted. Congratulations! You just made your very first bookshelf.
