Block palettes are a great way to spruce up your builds and establish a specific aesthetic. You can have as few as three blocks in a palette, or as many as twelve blocks or more, depending on how creative you're feeling. There are countless block palettes to match any mood or aesthetic, but here are seven to inspire you! We've chosen block palettes with six blocks, but you can add or omit blocks as you see fit.
Classic Castle Palette
This palette is excellent for beginners and will give your build the quintessential "Minecraft" feel. Cobblestone, oak logs, and spruce logs are easy to find and will be used as the primary building materials.
Bricks and mossy cobblestone may be trickier to craft or find, but they tie the whole palette together. If you can't find mossy cobblestone just yet, leaves can be placed against the outside walls of your house to give the appearance of a hedge!
Cottage Core Cute Palette
Are you looking for a light and cute block palette to build your cottage or coffee shop? Then, the Cottage Core palette is a great choice! Not only is it adorable, but it's very functional. The stripped oak log and smooth stone provide solid base materials, while the stained glass and flowers make great accents.

Rustic Palette
This palette is perfect if you want a cozy autumnal feel for your build. This is the ideal palette for any fall cottage, farmhouse, or café!
The dark reds and muted browns are reminiscent of the changing colors of autumn leaves.
Jungle planks and cobblestone can be easily obtained, and stained glass is simple to craft once you have some dye.
Red sandstone can be found on beaches underneath sand blocks, and cut red sandstone is easily crafted with a stonecutter once you have four red sandstone blocks!
Desert Oasis Palette
This palette will look great when you're building a desert base camp.
First, you'll need a stone cutter, which requires three stone blocks and an iron ingot. Once you have your stone cutter, you're set! You can find sand easily in the desert biome and then craft the sand into different styles using your stone cutter.
Red sandstone is found underneath sand blocks on the beach, so this last material may be the trickiest to find!
Once you obtain some red sandstone blocks, you can craft them into cut red sandstone to add the finishing touches to your desert home.
Earthy Palette
Do you want your house's color palette to reflect the forest you're building it in? This earthy palette is a great choice! These materials are easily obtained, like dark oak log, spruce planks, and cobblestone. No worries if you can't get your hands on dye to craft the green stained glass! Some leaves around your structure will add the necessary greenery.
Final Thoughts
Block palettes are a great way to level up your gameplay and bring your themed builds to life. The best thing about block palettes is they are so customizable—you can make them as simple or extravagant as you want. In addition, you can create a block palette to match any aesthetic or mood, so the sky is truly the limit. Hopefully, this blog post gave you some ideas for your next block palette creation!
